Excellent cbt instruction for myself, son and wife. Patient and professional tuition from all instructors. Pleased to be able to report that since that review my son and I have completed direct access training and passed our tests. We have both been very pleased with and grateful to John and the team for their thorough and very professional tuition. The training was detailed, perceptive and progressive but also laced with wit and good humour. Any set of instructors that can get someone like myself, mid sixties and with no previous experience through .... with no 'minors', by the way, ..... must be doing alright! Thanks. B.H.
Completed the DAS course recently with good results. Marty was a brilliant instructor who aligned with the way I want to be taught and learn (but I doubt its for everyone). I was very surprised how far i'd progressed since Day 1 of the scheme. The bikes that we were using were in fantastic condition and would have no problem recommending them to anyone who wants a bike licence

Was there for a training day to become a Ciity Festival volunteer. I have never been to such a badly run training day, in all my life It was sadly lacking in quality of presentation skills, did not feel welcome by team who put this on. The Art Centre it's self and exbition are very good. Centre staff helpful.
Visited in the snowy Easter holidays with my three year old granddaughter. Absolutely brilliant during the Science festival. Kept a bright toddler busy all day. Good food in the cafe, buggy friendly, calm space with good facilities and friendly staff. Plenty for kids of all ages at the science festival

This is a lovely place which attracts lovely people. It's not just stories you hear here, but music - song and traditional instrumental music - fine art and Scottish literature as well. Good cafe too!
This is a wonderful space.... a hidden gem. I came to a function organised by " Real Talk" It's a really intimate venue and the staff are so very lovely. They serve a range of alcohol and soft drinks... hot drinks and snacks.

This photographic gem is, in my opinion, underappreciated and often passed by tourists. Be brave, wander inside, enjoy the current exhibitions then go downstairs to the small library area which has a wealth of books, magazines and photographic resources (and free wifi!). There are specialist facilities such as darkroom for hire too.
A very interesting and ever changing photography exhibition venue. The themes and content are very inspiring and the presentation is always high quality. The centre also boasts some well kitted out education rooms where courses on Photoshop and other industry standard software are taught. It is worth checking in advance the upcoming exhibitions as there is generally something for everyone. Stills is located on Cockburn street an area that has a lot of eclectic shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Fans of Stills would also likley enjoy the Fruitmarket Gallery located on a market Street not far from the rear entrance to Edinburgh Waverly Train Station.

Amazing theatre. Great to see it being brought back to life. Balcony seating at the sides near the stage doesn't give the best view, so maybe avoid. Great sprung wooden floor - ideal for dancing!!!
Attractive art deco building awaiting full restoration after 30 years of disuse. Great venue for bands.
